Special Edition Cutting Out CSA Survivor Zine
This is a special CSA issue of The Survivor Zine UK: Cutting Out.
It is filled with poetry, prose, photography and art work by Survivors of Child Sex Abuse responding to the themes: "This One's Me; Dissociation; Holding Hands; Community and Social Justice.
This Zine was created as part of Viv Gordon Company's Cutting Out project that started life as a theatre show and hopes (one day) to be a huge art installation of 11 million paper dolls, a national memorial bearing witness to the 11 million adult survivors of child sex abuse in the UK.
The project holds a vision of us taking up space, gathering together and standing alongside each other hand in hand to make change. Zines originated as a way for marginalised communities to stand together, self-organise and amplify their own excluded voices - so it feels like a good fit.
This addition of the Zine was designed and bought together by the incredible Holly Ambrose from The Survivor Zine UK.
*This is a not for profit project and the price reflects the cost Zine printing and postage* The price above includes post/packaging to UK addresses and processing costs. The cards will be posted in a plain unbranded envelope. For international shipping please email email@example.com
An ABC of CSA - set of illustrated alphabet cards
An ABC of CSA is a creative resource to support better conversations about child sex abuse. The cards have been developed by our community for our community, with over 40 survivors involved through a series of workshops with Viv Gordon, and have been illustrated by Imogen Harvey-Lewis.
Each card can be seen in different ways. They are intended to start conversations, not to tell anyone how to think or feel. They are designed to spend time with, to come back to more than once, to discover different details each time… Some may be hard to look at or provoke strong reactions. Others may feel like a warm hug from one survivor to another.
The words and images offer a snapshot of our experiences, but not every card will be meaningful for every CSA survivor. Our community is devastatingly huge. There are an estimated 11 million adult survivors of child sexual abuse in the UK. It would be impossible to represent each unique, complex journey in 26 cards.
The cards sing with the deep wisdom and creativity of survivors. We will not be silenced. We hope they offer insight and healing. Most importantly, we hope they help us find ways to talk about our experiences as survivors of child sexual abuse.
Alongside the 26 alphabet cards each pack contains a guide to using the cards and 5 cards with separate alphabets from each CSA survivor based group we worked with.
The price above is a not for profit price and includes post/packaging to UK addresses and processing costs. The cards will be posted in a plain unbranded envelope. For international shipping please email firstname.lastname@example.org
