I AM JOAN

I Am Joan is an autobiographical one woman show. A hopeful comedy about a woman in recovery from trauma finding empowerment by connecting with various inspiring Joans, such as Joan Collins, Joan Jett and Joan of Arc, all of whom embody elusive qualities of resilience and self-belief.   

Think Dynasty meets Joan of Arc with lashings of cherry bakewells and a heavy dose of glam rock.

Irreverent, laugh out loud, hold your breath and get the tissues out;
this show will stay with you long after you watch it.

PRESCRIBED

PreScribed (a life written for me) explores the side effects of being a GP navigating an NHS in meltdown.

Viv was commissioned by The Elizabeth Blackwell Institute at University of Bristol to work with researchers Ruth Riley and Johanna Spiers and make a show for the Feel It Festival 2016.

​Viv’s own lived experience of mental ill health, combined with verbatim extracts from anonymised research transcripts, creates a powerful account of a GP on the brink of a crisis.
