Location: Gloucester
Dates: December 2024-March 2025
Location: Gloucester
Dates: December 2024-March 2025
Overview of Opportunity
We are looking for CSA survivors who are professional creatives with at least 3 years of experience and are based in or within travelling distance of Gloucester to join our Creative Leaders Training programme.
About the Training:
Viv Gordon Company makes work by, with and for child sexual abuse (CSA) survivors and creates spaces for CSA survivors and allies to come together and claim cultural space to make noise about our experiences, rights and concerns. Our work seeks to remove barriers to participation for CSA survivors and drive narrative change moving away from ideas of guilt, shame, isolation and cultural silencing towards celebrating survival as a creative act.
We are delivering a national, multi-year project called UpFront Survivors funded by the Home Office. As part of this programme we are delivering a Creative Leaders Training course for creatives with at least 3 years of experience in their relevant practice. This training takes place over 8 full days, in-person, in Gloucester between Dec 2024 and March 2025 and will support the creatives to develop the skills you need to work with groups of CSA survivors and allies.
More information about the UpFront Survivors project is available here.
What’s the cost?
We will cover all the costs for you attending the course. These include: travel (up to £50 per session), parking, childcare and other care costs, therapeutic support, access support such as BSL interpretation, providing materials in different formats or other support as agreed.
We will also provide a training bursary of £500 to all attendees.
What will the application process be?
To apply, please fill in the online form linked here or alternatively record a video or audio file (approximately 5 minutes long) of yourself answering the questions and email it to [email protected]
